Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your relationship with the operator of the Esc Online section of eskonline.bet (the "Website") when you access or browse it from the United Kingdom for informational purposes only. Effective date: 6 November 2025.
Esc Online does not hold a licence from the UK Gambling Commission and is not permitted to offer online gambling services to persons located in the United Kingdom. These Terms therefore apply solely to your non-gambling use of the Website from the UK (for example, reading information about the Esc Online brand). Account Registration
Eligibility and Age Restrictions
- 18+ requirement: Any gambling services offered by Esc Online in its licensed markets are strictly limited to individuals who are at least 18 years of age or the higher minimum age prescribed by local law. Under UK law, persons under 18 must not participate in remote gambling. Esc Online is provided solely for adults seeking information, and you must be 18 or older to browse the Website.
- UK access limitation: The Operator does not accept the registration of gambling Accounts from persons who are resident, domiciled, or physically located in the United Kingdom. If you are in the UK, you must not attempt to open an Account, complete registration forms or bypass geo-restriction mechanisms.
Account Creation (Non-UK Markets Only)
In jurisdictions where Esc Online is licensed (for example, Portugal under SRIJ licences 003 and 008, and Belgium under the oversight of the Belgian Gaming Commission), Players may be allowed to open an Account subject to local terms and conditions available on the relevant regional site (such as https://esconline.pt/pt/termos-e-condicoes). In general, and for your information only:
- Registration steps: Prospective Players typically provide personal details (name, date of birth, address, contact details), choose login credentials and confirm acceptance of the relevant local terms and privacy policy. Email verification and/or SMS verification may be required.
- KYC procedures: Before an Account can be fully activated, the Operator may require KYC documents such as a government-issued ID, proof of address and, where required by law or internal policies, proof of payment method ownership or source-of-funds documentation. Failure to provide accurate and timely documents may result in refusal of registration, suspension or closure of the Account.
- Accuracy of information: All information provided during registration must be complete, accurate and kept up to date. The use of false identities, third-party details or misrepresentation of your location (including via VPN or similar tools) is strictly prohibited and may lead to immediate closure of the Account and voiding of Bets.
- Security of credentials: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password and any other security credentials. You must not share your login details with any third party or allow anyone else to use your Account. Any activity carried out under your credentials may be treated as having been performed by you.
Important UK note: If the Operator becomes aware that an Account has been created, accessed or used from within the United Kingdom, the Operator may suspend or close the Account, void or cancel Bets and return any remaining real-money balance (subject to lawful deductions and anti-money-laundering checks). You are responsible for ensuring that your access and any attempted registration complies with the laws of your country, and in particular you must not attempt to bypass the prohibition on UK-based play.
Betting & Gameplay Rules
General Principles (Non-UK Play Only)
All real-money betting and gameplay on Esc Online are conducted under the laws and regulations of the relevant licensed jurisdiction (primarily Portugal and Belgium) and under the detailed rules set out in the local terms and game rules on the regional sites. For informational purposes:
- Types of bets and games: Esc Online may offer casino games of chance (such as slots, roulette and blackjack) and fixed-odds sports betting, under SRIJ licences 003 and 008, and online casino games under the Belgian licence. Each game or market has specific rules that determine how Bets are accepted, settled and paid out.
- Minimum and maximum stakes: Each game and betting market has defined minimum and maximum stake limits. These may vary by game type, Player status, currency and jurisdiction. Limits are usually displayed in the game client or betting interface and must be respected at all times.
- Bet placement: A Bet is considered placed and accepted only when it is correctly submitted through the Operator's systems, recorded on the Operator's servers and appears in the Player's betting or game history. Screenshots or client-side display alone do not constitute proof of acceptance.
Cancellation, Errors and Modifications
- Player cancellations: Once a Bet has been accepted by the Operator and confirmed, Players generally cannot cancel or modify it. Some products may allow cash-out or partial cash-out options, which are subject to the specific rules and availability at the time of request.
- Obvious errors: The Operator reserves the right, in accordance with applicable law and regulatory requirements, to void or adjust Bets that have been accepted due to obvious technical or human error (for example, clearly incorrect odds, settlement errors or misconfigured game parameters). In such cases, the Operator aims to restore the position the Player would have been in absent the error, without conferring unjust enrichment.
- Technical failures: If a game, event or market is interrupted due to a technical failure, network issue or system malfunction, the Operator will apply the technical game rules and regulatory guidance of the relevant jurisdiction. Typically, Bets not yet determined may be voided and stakes returned, while outcomes already recorded on the Operator's servers remain valid.
Conduct in Live Casino and Chats
- Respectful behaviour: Where live casino games or chat functions are available, Players must behave respectfully towards dealers, staff and other Players. Abusive, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, defamatory or otherwise offensive language or behaviour is forbidden.
- Prohibition of fraud and collusion: Any attempt to cheat, collude, exploit software bugs, use automated tools (such as bots) or manipulate game outcomes is strictly prohibited. The Operator may investigate suspected misconduct, suspend Accounts, withhold funds and report suspected offences to relevant authorities.
- UK-specific restriction: Persons located in the United Kingdom must not participate in live casino games, chats or any gameplay offered by Esc Online. Any such participation, whether or not detected in real time, may be treated as unauthorised use and may lead to voiding of related Bets and closure of the Account.
Bonus Terms
Activation and Wagering Requirements
Esc Online may, in its licensed markets, offer Bonuses such as welcome offers, deposit-match bonuses, free spins or free bets. Any such promotions are subject to specific terms published with the offer and, for informational purposes, typically operate as follows:
- Eligibility and activation: A Bonus may require the Player to meet certain criteria (for example, being a new customer, entering a bonus code or making a qualifying deposit) within a defined promotional period. Some Bonuses are credited automatically, while others must be actively selected or claimed.
- Wagering requirements: Bonuses generally carry wagering (playthrough) requirements, expressed as a multiple of the bonus amount, deposit amount, or both (e.g., 20x bonus). Only qualifying wagers placed on eligible games count towards these requirements. Until wagering requirements are met, withdrawal of bonus funds and any associated winnings may be restricted.
- Time limits: Bonuses normally have expiry periods (for example, 7, 14 or 30 days) within which wagering requirements must be completed. Unused or partially used Bonuses may expire, and any remaining bonus funds or bonus-derived winnings may be forfeited after the expiry date.
Prohibited Games and Actions
- Game restrictions: Certain games or categories (such as some table games, low-risk bets, or jackpot titles) may be excluded or contribute at a reduced rate towards wagering requirements. The applicable contribution table is specified in the relevant promotional terms.
- Irregular play: The Operator reserves the right to withhold, cancel or reclaim Bonuses and associated winnings if it reasonably suspects bonus abuse or irregular play. Examples include placing minimal-risk bets, hedging, colluding with other Players, or deliberately exploiting promotional structures.
- UK limitation: Bonuses and promotions are not intended for, and must not be used by, persons located in the United Kingdom. If the Operator determines that a Bonus has been claimed or used in breach of this rule, the Bonus may be cancelled, any bonus-derived winnings may be forfeited, and any remaining real-money balance may be returned (subject to lawful checks).
Combining Promotions
- One promotion at a time: Unless expressly stated otherwise, Players may participate in only one active welcome or first-deposit promotion per Account. Attempting to open multiple Accounts to claim repeated Bonuses is strictly forbidden.
- Promotion stacking: The ability to combine different promotions (for example, a reload bonus with a cashback offer) is subject to the specific terms of each promotion. Where combination is not allowed, the Operator may apply only the first valid promotion and cancel any others.
- Changes and withdrawal: The Operator may withdraw, modify or replace promotions, subject to Applicable Law and regulatory approval where required. However, any changes will not adversely affect rights that have already been validly earned under existing promotions, except where necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
Payments & Withdrawals
Deposit Methods and Limits
Esc Online is an informational view only, and the Operator does not accept deposits from persons located in the UK. In its licensed markets, Esc Online may make available a range of secure payment methods, including, where permitted by law and by local policy:
- Payment options: Debit cards, bank transfers, selected e-wallets and other regulated payment solutions may be supported. Cryptocurrencies are not accepted unless expressly stated in the local terms and cashier; where allowed, they are subject to enhanced checks and volatility considerations.
- Ownership of payment methods: Deposits must be made from payment instruments held in the Player's own name. The Operator may conduct checks to verify ownership and may reject transactions from shared, anonymous or third-party accounts.
- Limits and fees: Minimum and maximum deposit amounts, as well as any applicable fees or charges, are displayed in the cashier or payment interface. The Operator may set individual limits for responsible gambling or risk management reasons.
Withdrawals and Processing Times
- Withdrawal conditions: Before processing withdrawals, the Operator may require completion of KYC and anti-money-laundering checks in line with local regulations. Winnings may only be paid to payment methods previously used by the Player to deposit, where this is feasible and compliant with law.
- Processing times: The Operator aims to review withdrawal requests within a reasonable period (for example, within a few working days), but processing times can vary depending on the method, verification status and any additional checks required. External banking or payment provider delays are outside the Operator's control.
- Currency and conversion: Where currency conversion is involved, Player funds may be subject to the exchange rates and fees of the relevant payment provider or bank. The Operator is not responsible for exchange-rate fluctuations.
Refunds, Chargebacks and UK Restrictions
- Refund policy: As a rule, once a deposit has been successfully used to place Bets or wager in games, it will not be refunded except as required by law or where the Operator, at its discretion, determines that exceptional circumstances justify a refund (for example, a confirmed technical error).
- Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback without legitimate grounds may be treated as a breach of these Terms. The Operator may suspend the Account, recover any unjustified payouts and share relevant data with payment providers, regulators and law enforcement where appropriate.
- UK-specific rule: The Operator does not target or accept deposits or withdrawals from persons located in the United Kingdom. If any transaction is nevertheless processed in relation to an Account used from the UK, the Operator may void related Bets, restrict Bonuses and return net deposits (where legally required) after completing regulatory and anti-money-laundering checks.
Limitation of Liability
Operator's Obligations
- Fairness and regulatory oversight: In its licensed markets, the Operator is subject to regulatory supervision by SRIJ in Portugal and the Belgian Gaming Commission in Belgium. Games are operated in accordance with applicable regulations and, where required, are subject to audits of random number generators (RNG) and payout algorithms to ensure fairness.
- Accuracy of information: The Operator endeavours to ensure that information on the Website, including game descriptions, rules and promotional details, is accurate and up to date. However, minor discrepancies or delays in updating information may occur, and the binding terms for Players are always those published in the relevant regional terms and game rules.
- Reasonable skill and care: The Operator will provide the Website using reasonable skill and care and will take reasonable steps to maintain availability, security and functionality, subject to maintenance, updates and factors beyond its control.
Exclusions and Limitations
- Technical and network issues: The Operator is not liable for any loss, interruption or delay caused by failures of telecommunications, the internet, power supplies, hardware, software or third-party services, provided it has taken reasonable steps to protect its own systems. In such cases, the Operator's responsibility is generally limited to ensuring correct settlement of Bets according to recorded data or, where necessary, voiding affected Bets and returning stakes.
- Indirect and consequential losses: To the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, business or data, arising from or in connection with your use of the Website.
- Maximum compensation: Where the Operator is found liable in relation to a specific Bet, game round or transaction, its maximum liability is limited to: (i) the amount of the stake or wager placed on the particular Bet or game that gave rise to the claim; or (ii) where the claim does not relate to a Bet, the lesser of the amount of funds in the Player's Account at the relevant time or the equivalent of GBP 1,000.
- UK informational use: Because Esc Online is not a UK-licensed gambling service and does not permit UK-based play, the Operator's liability to Users located in the United Kingdom is limited to losses directly and reasonably foreseeable as a result of its failure to comply with these Terms in relation to informational Website access, and nothing in these Terms affects rights that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.
Intellectual Property Rights
Ownership of Content and Software
- Protected materials: All intellectual property rights in and to the Website and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio-visual material, software, code, databases, trademarks and trade names (including "Esc Online" and associated logos), are owned by the Operator, its group companies or its licensors.
- Limited licence: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Website for personal, non-commercial, informational purposes only, subject to these Terms. No other rights are granted, whether expressly or by implication.
Prohibited Uses
- No copying or distribution: You must not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, transmit, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, or sell any part of the Website or its content without the Operator's prior written consent, except as permitted by Applicable Law (for example, fair dealing for private study or research).
- No reverse engineering: You must not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of any software used in connection with the Website, except to the extent such activity is expressly permitted by law and then only after providing prior written notice to the Operator.
- Third-party rights: Some content, including games and software, may be provided by third-party licensors. You must comply with any additional terms notified by the Operator and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of those licensors.
Privacy & Data Protection
Your personal data is processed in accordance with the Operator's privacy policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. The current privacy policy for Esc Online's operations is available at https://esconline.pt/pt/politica-privacidade.
- Regulatory framework: The Operator processes personal data primarily under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Portuguese and Belgian data protection laws. To the extent that data of individuals in the United Kingdom is processed (for example, where a UK-based User contacts customer support), the Operator will also act in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, to the extent applicable.
- Data uses: Personal data may be used for purposes such as account administration in permitted jurisdictions, security, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, customer support, analytics and, where allowed, marketing. Detailed information about categories of data, legal bases for processing, retention periods and your rights (including access, rectification, erasure and complaint rights) is set out in the privacy policy.
- UK users: If you are located in the United Kingdom and you contact the Operator (for example via the support email), you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in Portugal and other relevant countries, subject to appropriate safeguards as described in the privacy policy.
Changes to Terms
Updating These Terms
- Right to amend: The Operator may amend, update or replace these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in law, regulatory guidance, technical developments or the Operator's business practices. The updated version will be indicated by a revised effective date (not earlier than 2025 for the current review cycle) and will take effect when published on the Website.
- Notice mechanisms: Where changes are material, the Operator may provide additional notice by reasonable means such as on-site banners, pop-up notices on login or, where you have provided contact details and consent, by email. Because Esc Online is informational for UK users, email notices may be limited.
- Continued use: Your continued access to or use of the Website after changes to these Terms have been published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Website.
Termination & Suspension
Termination of Informational Access
- Operator's rights: The Operator may, at any time and for any reason, suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Website (in whole or in part), including the Esc Online informational section, where it reasonably believes that you have breached these Terms, violated Applicable Law, compromised the security or integrity of the Website, or engaged in fraudulent, abusive or harmful behaviour.
- UK enforcement: If the Operator becomes aware that you are located in the United Kingdom and have attempted to use the Website to engage in real-money gambling contrary to these Terms and to UK regulatory requirements, it may immediately block your access, suspend or close any related Account and take steps to prevent further access from your devices or IP addresses.
Account Closure in Licensed Jurisdictions
For Players in jurisdictions where Esc Online is licensed (and where separate local terms apply), Accounts may be suspended or closed in accordance with those local terms and regulatory obligations. By way of information:
- Grounds for closure: These may include breach of terms, suspected fraud or money laundering, use of false identity, chargebacks, self-exclusion or problem-gambling concerns, or requests from regulators or law enforcement authorities.
- Handling of funds: Upon closure, any remaining real-money balance may be returned to the Player, subject to lawful deductions, unresolved investigations, and compliance with anti-money-laundering and responsible-gambling rules. Bonus funds and bonus-derived winnings may be forfeited where specified in the relevant bonus terms.
- Notice to Player: Where lawful and practicable, the Operator will notify the Player of suspension or closure and, where appropriate, provide reasons and information on how to contact support for clarification.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
UK Users - Informational Access
- Governing law for UK informational use: For Users who access Esc Online from within the United Kingdom solely for informational, non-gambling purposes, these Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your place of residence.
- Jurisdiction: The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with your informational use of the Website under these Terms. This means you may also be able to bring proceedings in your local courts if such rights exist under Applicable Law.
Gambling Services in Licensed Jurisdictions
- Non-UK services: Any real-money gambling services provided by Esc Online are governed by the laws and regulatory regimes of the jurisdictions in which the Operator is licensed (for example, Portuguese law and SRIJ rules for operations under licences 003 and 008, and Belgian law for operations under the Belgian Gaming Commission licence). Disputes relating to such services are subject to the terms, laws and dispute-resolution mechanisms set out in the applicable regional terms and conditions.
- No UKGC licence: Estoril Sol Digital S.A. and Esc Online do not hold a licence from the UK Gambling Commission and are not authorised to provide remote gambling services to persons located in the UK. Any marketing, search results or references suggesting otherwise should be considered inaccurate or misleading.
- Alternative dispute resolution: Where available under local law in licensed jurisdictions, Players may have access to regulatory complaint channels or alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms as set out in the regional terms. These ADR and regulatory pathways do not apply to purely informational access from the UK, for which your primary recourse is the courts of England and Wales.
